General Information

Addiction can creep in slowly. This does not happen overnight. You can start by taking a substance or doing an activity that makes you feel better. If this need becomes stronger and more harmful to you over time, and you start to get addicted and plan your life around this substance or activity, then you can start to fall into addiction. This is the point where addiction counselling can help.

Addiction can be addiction and/or abuse of drugs, alcohol, food, gambling, work, sports, sex and relationships, mobile phones and social media. Anything that seems to take away the unbearable feelings you have inside you.

Clients dealing with addiction and compulsive behaviour often deal with more than one addiction at a time. Addictions can often develop from underlying, unsolved problems. A structured approach to these problems can help you to stay in recovery and can also help you to work on yourself at a deeper level.
